Description

LBN 292 is in the constellation Cygnus. It is composed primarily of hydrogen and dust, carved and folded by the energy of the nearby stars. At the center of the image are two reflection nebulas, vdB131 and vdB132. Together these two nebula are cataloged NGC 6914. It lies 6,000 light-years from the Sun. Ultraviolet radiation from stars in the Cygnus OB2 association ionize the nebula's hydrogen.
